The thermal sensor for ECAM fully automatic machines is attached to the thermal block and transmits the measured temperature to the control electronics. If the machine takes longer than usual to heat up or overheats, then this sensor is almost always defective. If the thermoblock burns out, the sensor should always be replaced.
To ensure the correct heat transfer, the thermal sensor must always be filled with thermal paste.
